World of Warcraft – The Room of Requirement

The room of requirement is a place for players to freely decorate with furniture, paintings, statues and workstations. It also doubles as a place to grow plants and capture beasts. The customization of the room is limited only by the resources that the player has to spend on it, and this can be accomplished by using Evanesco, Conjuring and Alteration spells. This article will offer some tips on how to maximize the potential of this magical space.

Unlike the Junk Warehouse aspect of the room that is destroyed near the end of Book 7, the Room of Requirement itself remains in the castle, though it’s not always open to players. The House Elf Deek will let players in after they clear a third stack of chairs with the Evanesco spell and watch a cutscene that sees the room transform into its intended form.

Once the Room of Requirement has been opened, players will find it stocked with decorative furniture and wall hangings that can be repurposed with the Conjuring spell. The more expensive the item, the more Moonstone is required to construct it. Taking advantage of this initial windfall will provide the player with enough Moonstone to start farming resource items such as potions, wands and armor parts.

In addition to furniture and decorations, the Room of Requirement contains a number of useful items such as a Herbology classroom complete with a planting area where the player can grow Dittany, Mellowsweet and Knotgrass. These plants can then be used to create Wiggenweld Potions, which are an essential ingredient for most magic items.

The Room of Requirement will also contain a breeding pen and toy boxes for the player to use when capturing creatures from the open world. Feeding and grooming these animals will reward the player with items that can then be used at the Loom to upgrade gear.

As the player progresses through the main story, Deek will introduce the ability to breed unique beasts and expand the Room of Requirement with a beautifully quaint forest vivarium. This expansion will add another spell that takes up one of the six available slot in the Room of Requirement, allowing the player to capture, feed and breed beasts in a similar manner as equipment.

Finally, the Room of Requirement will feature a Desk of Description that allows the player to identify any unidentified gear they come across in chests or in battle. This does not consume any additional slots and will automatically identify all gear if it has not been upgraded with a trait. It’s worth pointing out that the player can talk to Deek at any time to change the ambiance of the room, which will also impact how the game looks in the Room of Requirement. This can be helpful if the player wants to try out different settings to see how things look before investing in any more decorations or furniture. This article contains affiliate links.
